  • Present main issues at stake about gender in research in the context of CEE countries
  • Introduce the 6 steps of a Gender Equality Plan
  • Build capacity for ongoing GEP processes, focusing on the 3 steps of setting up, implementing and monitoring GEPs
  • Enhancing awareness about what each participant can do to facilitate change in his/her own organization

Lorena Pajares


Lorena is a trainer and gender and development consultant, with 20 years of professional experience combined with a strong academic grounding in Social Sciences, participatory research and feminist methodologies. She is currently engaged with the Horizon2020 project SUPERA (Supporting the Promotion of Equality in Research and Academia) at the Complutense University of Madrid, and has collaborated with many other institutions, Public Administrations and Third Sector organisations in research and training projects aimed at gender transformative action.

Jovana Mihajović Trbovc


Dr. Mihajović Trbovc is a research fellow at the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts working on projects dealing with gender equality in academia (including two Horizon2020 and one FP7 projects). She is a member of the the Commission for Equal Opportunity in Science, a consultative body to the Slovene Ministry of Education, coordinator of the CoP on Alternative Infrastructure for Gender Equality in Academic Institutions (Alt+G), and is part of the team implementing and monitoring GEP at her own institution.
